Product Description: Caves Vice Rei Licor de Ginja is a traditional Portuguese liqueur produced using an old ginja recipe and traditional methods. Made from sour cherries (ginja), this liqueur offers a rich ruby colour, intense cherry aromas, and a smooth, velvety texture.
Tasting Notes: Deep ruby-red colour. Intense aromas of sour cherry and wild berries. Smooth and velvety palate. Sweet, rich cherry flavour with a long, pleasant finish
Serving Suggestions: Best served chilled, neat, or over ice. Traditionally enjoyed “with fruit” or “without fruit,” according to Portuguese tradition. It can also be paired with sparkling wine or used in cocktails and desserts.
Food Pairing: Excellent with dark chocolate desserts, pastries, ice cream, and strong cheeses.
About Ginjinha: Ginjinha (or Ginja) is one of Portugal’s most famous traditional liqueurs, especially popular in Lisbon and Óbidos. It is made by macerating sour cherries in alcohol with sugar and spices such as cinnamon.
